    1. PD Engineers: Fixing a timing violation

    3. DV Engineers: Simulation failure

  3. Write a mail to team members about your unavailability for 3 days, some other team member will support in place of you for those 3 days.
  4. Write a mail to IT admin requesting him to add your username in to a group
  5. Write a mail to a company HR regarding job opportunities
  6. How to reply to job interview call letter mail
  7. How to keep a mail precise and how to distribute mail text in to multiple paragraphs.

BASIC ENGLISH

  1. Past tense, present tense, future tense
  2. Where to write capital letters, lower case letters
  3. Where to put full-stop, comma, semi-colon, exclamation?
  4. Where to write faithfully, sincerely, regards, etc
  5. How to address a person(job related call) over phone(not to use sir/bro, address by the name, etc)

GROUP DISCUSSIONS

  1. Make a group of 3 people each, multiple groups
    1. Choose any technical topic covered in last 2 -3 weeks
      1. Ex: Floorplan techniques, DRC violations, etc
    2. Each group comes up with around 5 complex/tricky questions on that topic
      1. Ex: Grouping of macros
    3. Group will pose these questions to other group, viceversa
    4. Group will come up with answers for a 10 mins duration
    5. There will be discussion on these questions
    6. Marks will awarded based on how satisfactory the answers are.
  2. Take any general topic on current affairs and present it to complete batch for a duration of 10 mins each, each person will give a score on scale of 10.
  3. Make above things a regular practice(this can be done without institute admin mediating)
  4. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT STEP IN PREPARATION. COMPANIES HIRE A PERSON BASED ON HIS/HER CONFIDENCE LEVEL. IT ONLY SHOWS UP IN THE WAY YOU PRESENT YOURSELF, THAT WAY YOU TALK. Please make above group discussions a regular practice, do not be shy for doing these. Take initiative among group to have these kind of discussions.
